BABY KAYLEE came to visit us!
Ryan & Chelsea were able to get seats on the direct flight Thursday night (after no seats were available on Wednesday night). Gary dashed to Indianapolis after teaching the Institute lesson. As the clock shows, it was 12:17 am (Friday) when we got to hold Kaylee for our first time! She is a doll. The visit was short but we loved it. We got to introduce them to the students at Munch & Mingle and they heard Brenda teach the lesson. Gary fit in a quick visit with them to the Model Aviation Museum then we all drove to West Lafayette and spent the night with Kevin & Dacia and family so they could also see Kaylee for their first time. We played a game that evening (because that is what the Mumfords do) and Dacia got some snuggle time with Kaylee.
Last Monday we had a really fun Family Home Evening. The Branch rented the Ball State Univ. Bowling Center for two hours - 8 bowling lanes, 7 pool tables, ping pong, air hockey, and lots of pizza. Many brought friends. It was a great time.
The other senior couple is now in a different district but we got to see them Tuesday when their car broke down and was being repaired all day. They got dropped off here, attended Munch & Mingle (Gary taught) and spent the afternoon with us. We taught in Marion this week and were grateful to find gas for $3.63. Prices sure have been fluctuating the last few months. We have two new students (moved home recently) and two prospective students (& parents) have come by in the past week as they have made campus visits. Our furnace broke early in the week (thank goodness for a space heater) but got repaired and all is well. Our Branch mission leader/Branch choir director enters the MTC this Wednesday. We will miss him. He is a fabulous young man.
