We just finished our first week at the MTC - and the tears have been flowing as many shared what they learned this week. This has been a fantastic week! The spirit here is amazing. We have learned things from these MTC teachers (returned missionaries who are BYU students) that have changed our hearts and our understanding. Our morning teacher was Brother Hawkes, afternoon was Brother Pine, and sometimes Brother Sillitoe. Yesterday we taught a second lesson to a couple who were investigators. Today we practiced teaching less active members. We've become friends with those in our district and others in our group (40 couples). Many of us will be back next week for 3 days of CES training. Others, like our neighbors the Longs, are heading to their mission fields. Last night we attended the viewing of Aunt Helen who passed last Friday. We visited with her husband and children and other relatives. We stopped to see the progress on the Provo City Center Temple.
