Our last post was from the MTC. Alot has happened since then! We spent one night at home repacking, loading the car, cleaning, visiting with family, and even got some sleep! We left at noon on Thursday and drove across Wyoming and spent the night in Cheyenne. We saw some spectacular lightning coming straight down out of a huge dark cloud. Friday was the long driving day - clear across Nebraska then across beautiful Iowa farmland. It is spring - complete with showers, lots of calves in the cattle herds, and even some colts in the pastures. The midwest really knows how to have a rain storm! We had some nearly-no-visibility dumpers - but made it to Davenport for the night. Saturday we drove across Illinois and got to West Lafayette, Indiana in the early afternoon. Alyssa was watching for us at the door! We all attended Kaitlyn's dance recital that afternoon. It was a huge recital in a big theater at Purdue. Kevin danced with Kaitlyn in the parent/daughter number (they did great) and then Kaitlyn danced with her jazz class - excellent job. We spent Sunday there too and enjoyed church and the day with the family. Monday morning we headed to Indianapolis with the first stop at the Institute office to meet the secretary and then to the Indiana Indianapolis Mission Home. President & Sister Collins were delighted to see us and we were delighted to see them. They took us on a field trip - to the mission office, the temple site and then to lunch. We visited and didn't get away until after 3:00 pm.
